Exhibition Tour | Take a Piece of Me with You: Interactive Artworks in Art AIDS America
This tour, led by Alphawood Gallery Associate Louise Yingduo Liu, focuses on the interactive artworks in Art AIDS America. Works by artists and collectives such as Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Karen Finley, fierce pussy and Ryan Conrad will be discussed. Some of these participatory works invite the addition of elements or content, while others encourage visitors to take a piece with them. This diminishing physicality renders a sense of loss and represents the fragility of life, carrying a tranquil grief that is beautiful yet heartbreaking.
