Space By Proxy: readings and writings for P recariat will present four performances in response to the themes present in the exhibition and our current political moment. Space By Proxy seeks to create a safe space (both literal as an arts organization, and figurative) and ask, what does that activation look like, sound like, feel like? Is this a contesting of public space? Or a collaboration? Or merely a brief occupancy, poignant or otherwise? A passing across the threshold, and then stepping back after speaking. A limited run of chapbooks have been produced in conjunction with this event and will be available for purchase.
